Swine (Hog) Shelters
Port-A-Hut portable shelters were originally designed for swine and pasture farrowing—an environment that demands durability. Because hogs are tough on equipment, our shelters have been engineered to withstand decades of heavy use, and they’ve proven themselves for more than 60 years in the field.
Our shelters are intended for placement on dirt, which is the best surface for hogs. Dirt stays cooler than concrete in summer and warmer in winter, and it provides natural benefits such as a source of iron. Hogs remain healthier and stronger when raised outdoors on the land, and the mobility of our shelters makes this possible.

Maintenance freeAll-steel construction
Engineered for years of dependable performance, our all-steel shelters are built with heavy galvanized corrugated steel panels and reinforced angle-iron frames to withstand the toughest weather conditions.
UltimatePortability
Designed for strength, versatility, and real mobility. Position your shelter where it’s needed—from pastures and groves to open areas and shaded locations.

Pasture-raising hogs is one of the oldest, healthiest methods for producers and animals alike. Rotation enhances soil health, supports animal wellness, and allows the herd to thrive outdoors.
Using a rotational grazing system—moving both the animals and the shelters—improves the wellbeing of the herd and prolongs the life of the shelters. Relocating shelters helps reduce rust, while rotating hogs across the land minimizes worms and disease pressure. This portable setup also eliminates the need for harsh chemical sanitation required in confinement systems.
All of our shelter sizes have been used for swine, based on the need. Our small (4′ x 7′) and medium (6′ x 7′) shelters are ideal for pasture farrowing. Either have the option of adding on a guard rail and pig roller. View our shelters for more details.
